Thought for the week: Friendship

giphyWhat is friendship? Friends are an important part of most people’s lives. Research tells us that having friends increases our chances of being happy. A good friend might be someone who provides support when times are tough, or someone you can rely on to celebrate a special moment with you.

The true meaning of friendship is when you consider the other person’s well-being to be as valuable as your own. You will then treat them the way friends are supposed to treattenor.gif each other.


Friendship provides us with a sense of belonging and self-esteem, which in turn safeguards us against the negative health effects of stress.
