Blog – Are you an Introvert, Extrovert or Shy

Affirmation:  I am not judging myself anymore

Thought for the week:  Are you an Introvert, Extrovert or Shy

Being introverted or extroverted only refers to what kind of situations people look for to “recharge their batteries”.

For example, an 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭 would seek to be around people to relax. Being alone stresses them out. They would love nothing more than to be surrounded by as many people as possible.

An 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭 would seek alone time to recharge. Social encounters, especially long ones, are exhausting to them. They are the person who would love to spend Friday night alone at home, with a good book in hand.

Being 𝐬𝐡𝐲, on the other hand, is an 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 that affects how a person feels and behaves around others. Shyness can mean feeling uncomfortable, self-conscious, nervous, bashful, timid, or insecure. People who feel shy sometimes notice physical sensations like blushing or feeling speechless, shaky, or breathless.

There are shy introverts as well as shy extroverts. Shyness is partly a result of genes a person has inherited. It’s also influenced by behaviours they’ve learned, the ways people have reacted to their shyness, and life experiences they have had.

There is nothing wrong with being an extrovert, introvert or shy. Bio Energy is a good way to recharge your batteries.
