Thought for the week:  Ways to be Happy

When we are relaxed, calm, and feeling happy it revitalises the body and keeps it fresher and healthier.

Ways to be happy:

  • Waking up and express gratitude and appreciation for your body
  • Play music that you really enjoy
  • If you have one, stand in your garden and appreciate it
  • Take an afternoon nap! I love my afternoon naps and no longer make myself wrong for choosing them
  • Go for a walk in nature
  • Dance around the house
  • Watch a feel good movie or program that always puts a smile on your face
  • Watch a comedian that you enjoy listening to
  • Call a friend that you enjoy talking to
  • Keep a list of things you have achieved, and celebrate them every week
  • Spend time quietly meditating for about 5-10 minutes each morning
  • Watching an inspirational you tube video
  • Listen to a guided meditation or energy healing session
  • Stop yourself the moment you notice you’re judging yourself, and instead move your focus to something you appreciate (that’s one of the main reasons I keep fresh flowers in the house – I always enjoy looking at them, regardless of my mood)
  • Eat food that your body enjoys and stop when it has had enough
  • Explore new ways of moving your body that are fun for you
  • Take up a new hobby and teach yourself a new skill
  •  Wear clothes that your body really enjoys
  • Take a bath and relax
  • Spend time away from social media and the computer regularly
  • Don’t take your phone to bed with you.
