Thought for the week:  Silence

The power of silence has always been recognised but it has never been needed more than today. Dropping into silence can feel daunting.

However, it is possible to be silent while doing a short activity, such as eating a meal, washing dishes or going out for a walk. You can deliberately switch off any gadgets, computer, phone or MP3 player. Start with a short period that feels manageable and extent it when you can. There is power in silence and it can be liberating.
