Thought for the week:  The Heart Chakra

 The heart chakra is located in the centre of the chest at the level of the physical heart. The colour associated with the Heart Chakra is green.

The heart is the symbol of love. This love centre of our human energy system is often the focus in bringing about a healing. The words ‘Love Heals All’ have great truth. Hurtful situations can affect our emotional well-being which includes divorce or separation, loss and grief, emotional or physical abuse, abandonment even arguing. All of these are wounding to the heart chakra and can make the physical body more vulnerable to illness or an imbalance.

The Heart Chakra deals with love and relationships and represents the energy centre for an individual’s happiness and feelings of compassion. The Heart chakra is all about connecting and relating. Its natural radiance is joy, compassion and love. The heart chakra teaches us with the power of love, above all, empathy, tolerance, and understanding and how open we are in relationships.

Love is the energy that helps transfigure emotions and experiences. It’s an essential element in any relationship, whether it is with others or oneself.

Love experienced through the heart chakra is not just about romance, but going beyond the limitations of the ego and personal worries to open us up more fully to compassion and acceptance of all that is, as it is.
